Get to Know the Locals!
If you’ve ever shopped at Simply Amazing Marketplace, chances are you’ve met Ron Socash. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Ron moved to Arizona in 1986, where he met his wife, Lorie, and raised their three children in the Verde Valley.
Ron spent the first part of his career in the trust industry, but like many, the 2008 housing crash pushed him in a new direction, sales. He started working at Simply Amazing Marketplace in 2009 under the previous owner, Terel, and after 13 years of dedication, Ron officially became the owner in 2023.
For Ron, it wasn’t just a job it was something he truly enjoyed, so stepping into ownership felt natural.
Outside the shop, Ron’s a big fan of Cottonwood’s food and wine scene and loves supporting local businesses. He's also an avid traveler, with 19 countries (and counting) on his list though Dubrovnik Croatia is a favorite.

Really cool location. Honestly was just obsessed with the buildings that look like alittle western town! Especially on the inside! Really eclectic cool place with fun stuff.
Spent a good half hour or more looking around, so much to catch the eye. My friend purchased several home decor items, they negotiated on price and were very friendly. Aould highly recomment!
This place is just that! There is so much to look at. I'm a forever customer!
Found this little gem of a place by accident, decided to take a peak. We found a couch, and a like new recliner! Both very clean, almost no wear. Not expensive at all and really cute, unique, inexpensive decor for your home. Some of the pieces are pricier, but from my experience using consignment, a lot of times the original owners are adamant about pricing.
Another commenter added the prices were hiked up, but for the region, its very reasonable. If you're from the Midwest originally, everything will be more expensive anywhere you go in the West.
I would definitely recommend shopping here. The staff is friendly, accommodating if you have to bring a trailer, and knowledgeable.
Love this place, always find what I need for that perfect place and at a great price. Super helpful people and really just an extraordinary selection of secondhand items that are really well taken care of.
Ron was so patient with us and tried to help us find the colors in Metal flowers we were looking for. We've made purchases here before but today was a big selection. Thank you Ron for all your help and you won't find better prices unless ya go to Mexico yourself. Our last trip there prices were just same when factor fuel & time. We'll be back.

Simply Amazing Marketplace truly lives up to its name! Since the new ownership took over, the store has never looked better—it’s clean, organized, and full of unique finds. Ronnie is an absolute gem—helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely delightful to talk to. You can feel the local roots here. Both Lorie and Ronnie have deep ties to the Cottonwood area, and it shows in the honest, heartfelt service they provide. You couldn’t ask for more down-to-earth, trustworthy people. This place is a true treasure in the community!
A fun place to visit A large selection of knick knacks, furniture and household needs.
Wow, we are pleasantly surprised when we finally walked in. We have drove passed this place many times and finally decided to go in and I will say there is a lot of nice furniture pieces, decor, and more than I want. It is also alot bigger than it looks from the street. Owner was very friendly. We will return :)
I found an awesome queen bed made of solid wood and a wonderful lamp at Simply Amazing Marketplace. The owner made me a great deal and was extremely helpful in getting everything in the truck. I highly recommend this great store! There is a huge selection of new and used items and great prices.
Ron was super nice. Great place to visit when you're in Cottonwood. Huge place with all kinds of interesting pieces. And if you need a restaurant recommendation Ron's your man. We will be back.
Their name says everything you need to know about their business! They sell amazing furniture, antiques, geegaws, artifacts, and so many items I would need encyclopedic recall to enlighten you! I can only encourage you to drop in! The houses are air conditioned, in good order, collections are gathered in meaningful detailed arrangements that make sense, the owner and salespeople are knowledgeable and friendly and articulate about their collections. The buildings are air conditioned, the pieces are one of a kind, are reasonably priced, sprawl 3 or 4 buildings worth of assorted collections that the owners are personally in touch with including backstories! I stumbled in on a 100+ degree day and forgot all about the heat and my internal discomfort because there were worlds before me I was entering in every room or building. I didn’t buy a thing the first three hours I visited, but I spied several items for the future rooms I thought they could occupy in our new AZ home. The collections make sense and that is a delight to curious minds! Brought my husband back and we bought a beautiful older cherrywood dresser wdovetail drawers and it gets delivered in 3 days! I just know it will this place will be my new library where I will read the stories of other lives and their wants and needs and how they changed over centuries and their crafts improved and techniques were born. It is a living history in every room and some of that I want to showcase and other pieces I want to understand and gaze upon. It is a day’s look at yesterday and a future peak of what got left behind with each new generation, including ours! Visit, bring money because temptations is staring you in the face from floor to ceiling, and the silver horses are just the beginning of your trip into another dimension! It doesn’t cost a thing to look!
Had an amazing time exploring around many buildings at Sinply amazing marketplace. It was so clean organized and completely magical! I even found items from my rarely found Italian Deruta pottery! Thank you for having such a great place to explore

Incredible selection, everything you could ever want — and more. People are saying it’s the best marketplace, and I agree. The service? First class. The deals? Tremendous. Nobody does it better. Simply Amazing Marketplace is a total winner. Highly recommended! Everyone is talking about it. Believe me. You'll love it. It is stupendous.
Soon as we walked in, Ron introduced himself and said that they ship, lol, good to know. This place had everything furniture, mirrors, old-fashioned, decanters, jewelry, and a lot of other stuff. It was a really fun set up with a western area in the back.

This place is top notch!! I cannot believe I have driven by for years and never stopped in. Prices are fair, customer service is awesome and let me say the fast delivery was the cherry on top.
